Stock market news: Market fell by one and a half percent in the weekend, Nifty closed below seventeen thousand

Today in the weekend, on Friday, December 17, the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) Sensex closed at 57,011.74 with a huge loss of 889.40 points. At the same time, NSE (National Stock Exchange) Nifty 50 closed today with a loss of 263.20 points by going below the figure of seventeen thousand at the level of 16,985.20. In today's day, Sensex lost 1.54 percent, while Nifty lost 1.53%. Sensex took more losses than Nifty by a small margin today. 

It is to be known that under the influence of yesterday, the market had started today's day positively. Under which the Sensex opened at 58,021.63 with a gain of 120.49 points and the Nifty opened at 17,276 with a gain of 27.60 points. Today, the highest and lowest levels of Nifty were at 17,298.15 and 16,966.45 respectively in that day. Whereas today's low and high level in the Sensex stood at 56,950.98 and 58,062.28 respectively. 

In today's loss weekend, the 5 companies whose stocks suffered the most in Nifty are IndusInd Bank, Tata Motors, ONGC, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HUL. At the same time, 5 companies which have kept investors in profit even today are - Wipro, Infosys, HCL Technologies, Power Grid Corporation and Sun Pharma.
